Mark Jensen
North American Product Line Director, Process Tools

Mark Jensen is the North American Product Line director for Process Tools at Vector in Novi, Michigan. He is responsible for bringing the company’s extensive automotive E/E expertise to the North American ground vehicle market through Vector’s solutions for vehicle electronic architecture, systems engineering, and product data management.

Mr. Jensen has spent his entire career in the Detroit automotive industry and worked at all three Detroit OEMs before joining Vector in 2001. While at Ford, he was heavily involved in early model-based engine design efforts and helped introduce the first automated design optimization tools into the Ford powertrain organization. Moving to the electronics and manufacturing sides of the industry at Chrysler, he helped introduce the first OBD-II test equipment and vehicle end of line test systems. With Vector, he has stayed in the electronics arena and has managed many Vector products and engineering departments for diagnostics, embedded software, in-vehicle networks, and calibration. He is currently responsible for the North American market for Vector’s E/E design and analysis tools and enterprise-level product data management solutions.

An active member of SAE, Mr. Jensen has contributed to the development of global standards for vehicle networking, diagnostic protocols, ITS communications, has served on the SAE Service Technologies Board, has been an organizer for the SAE World Congress and currently sits on the SAE Commercial Vehicle Congress Executive Planning Council.Â

Mr. Jensen was born in Highland Park, Michigan, and earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. A lifelong resident of the Detroit area, Mark and his family have made their home in Huntington Woods for over twenty years.
