Chris Vournakis joined Southern California Edison in 2010, as senior project manager, External Engagement in the Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness Group.  In this role, he creates and maintains relationships with Automakers, EVSE makers, EVSE installers, and cities and local communities in support of Plug-in Electric Vehicle readiness. His team’s goal is to collaborate with these groups in order to deliver an excellent customer experience to the EV owner, and support the adoption of EV’s within SCE’s service territory.

The majority of Mr. Vournakis’ career has been spent in the automobile industry, having held positions as National Advertising manager, Field Operations manager, Distribution manager and District Sales manager at Mazda North American Operations. He also worked at The Designory, a marketing agency, where he served as Group Account director working on projects for Nissan North America; and at Jumpstart Automotive Media, where he supported the digital marketing needs for multiple automotive clients.

He received his B.A. from the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University’s George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management.
